Why Choose French Tutor Sydney
Learning French Is a Journey. Choosing the Right Teacher Makes All the Difference.
Learning a new language can help you succeed at school, prepare for university, travel with confidence, communicate with French speaking family and friends, or simply enjoy the satisfaction of speaking another language. The teacher you choose will have a significant influence on that journey.
At French Tutor Sydney, my goal is not simply to teach French. My goal is to help you become a confident French speaker who enjoys using the language. Every lesson is built on patience, encouragement, clear explanations and genuine personal support.

More Than Twenty-Five Years of Teaching Experience
I have been teaching French in Sydney since 2000. Before moving to Australia, I taught at L’École Française de Mumbai, where I worked with kindergarten and primary school students before becoming Executive Assistant to the Principal. Communicating in French every day within a French school community gave me experience that continues to influence my teaching today.
Every Lesson Is Personalised
No two students learn in exactly the same way. Some students enjoy understanding grammar in detail. Others learn best by speaking and listening. Some need additional support with pronunciation. Others progress quickly and enjoy being challenged. Rather than asking every student to fit the same lesson, I adapt each lesson to suit the individual.
Confidence Before Perfection
Many people hesitate to speak French because they are afraid of making mistakes. I believe mistakes are an essential part of learning. Confidence develops through practice, encouragement and regular use of the language. The goal is not perfection. The goal is progress.
Pronunciation Is Part of Every Lesson
French pronunciation can appear unfamiliar when you first begin learning. With patient guidance and regular practice, students become more comfortable producing French sounds correctly. Rather than treating pronunciation as a separate topic, it is incorporated naturally into every lesson.
French Explained Clearly
French grammar is often described as difficult. My teaching approach is based on simplifying complex ideas. Each topic is explained using practical examples and broken into manageable steps that are easier to understand and remember.
Carefully Structured Lessons
Lessons develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. They are supported by selected textbooks together with personalised worksheets that I prepare to reinforce each topic. Homework is designed to consolidate learning without overwhelming students.
Small Classes. Personal Attention.
Beginner group classes are limited to three or four students. Intermediate group classes are limited to two or three students. Smaller classes allow every student to participate, ask questions and receive meaningful feedback throughout each lesson.
My Commitment To Every Student
I cannot promise that learning French will always be easy. Every language has its challenges. What I can promise is that I will teach with patience, encouragement and respect.
I will explain concepts clearly. I will support you when you find something difficult. I will celebrate your progress. Most importantly, I will do everything I can to help you achieve the goals that brought you here.
